The Owl Trophies for the 2024 JSOM OWLIE awards.

A Decade of OWLIEs

Students, faculty and staff at the Naveen Jindal School of Management gathered this past April 17 in the Davidson Auditorium for the 10th annual Outstanding Worthy Leaders Involved Exceptionally (OWLIE) awards ceremony.

Every year since 2015, the Dean’s Council has held this special awards ceremony to recognize members of the JSOM community for outstanding service on behalf of the Jindal School. Students, faculty, program directors and JSOM student organization advisors submitted their nominations, and finalists were called to the awards ceremony to learn whether they had won a coveted Owl trophy.

This year’s OWLIEs was celebrated with an opening act by Gannu, Neha, and Purnima, as well as special musical performances by Novis A Cappella and singer-guitarist Avaneesh. The two masters of ceremony, Troy Murray, a marketing graduate student, and Kyro Abraham, an information technology and systems senior, called OWLIE award nominees to stand and then announced the winners to roaring applause. The ceremony concluded with a stellar dance finale by the members of the JSOM Graduate Dean’s Council.
