JSOM OWLIE Awards

What are the OWLIEs?

Outstanding Worthy Leaders Involved Exceptionally

The JSOM “OWLIE” Award stands for Outstanding, Worthy Leaders, Involved Exceptionally. This annual award event provides a unique platform to recognize students, faculty, staff, mentors and alumni for their exceptional service on behalf of the Naveen Jindal School of Management. Without exception, the OWLIE winners have positively influenced faculty, staff, students, employers and the community at-large.

Since the inception of the OWLIE in spring 2015, the annual event has quickly become a revered spring tradition for the Jindal School of Management. While the OWLIEs are hosted by the Dean’s Council, council members are not considered as potential winners for any of the awards other than the Super OWLIE which is given to one undergraduate and one graduate Dean’s Council member. Potential OWLIE recipients are nominated by students, faculty, program directors and JSOM student organization advisors. The finalists are determined by the Undergraduate and Graduate Dean Council. The process to determine the finalists is a blind process removing student identity from consideration. Previous OWLIE winners are ineligible.

OWLIE winners are determined by a vote of the JSOM faculty and staff, eight representatives of more than 50 JSOM student organizations and the undergraduate and graduate members of the Dean’s Council.

OWLIE Award nominations are CLOSED.
Join us for the 2024 OWLIE Awards on April 17, 2024 at 4 pm in Davidson Auditorium, JSOM 1.118.
