The Jindal School-based Accounting Leadership Association at UT Dallas recently invited JSOM students to join them in serving with the Dallas CPA Society at the annual Love for Kids toy sort. More than 10,000 toys needed to be sorted, bagged and boxed in advance of Love for Kids’ annual Children’s Christmas Party. More than 100 Jindal School students volunteered to assist with this work November 24 at the Dallas Sheraton Hotel.
The donated toys will be distributed to more than 3,000 children, ages 6 to 12, who will attend the holiday party at the Circle R Ranch in Flower Mound on December 14. JSOM students will volunteer again to serve the families who attend.
This is the third year JSOM students have served during the holidays with the DCPAs and Love for Kids.
ALA adviser Melissa Palmer says, “Our amazing students have represented JSOM so well in the community and are passing along the Comet spirit.”
