Overview
The North Texas Private Equity Council (the “Committee”) will create plans and organize activities built on the vision of becoming the preeminent resource for governance and value creation for the private investment community (i.e., venture capital, private equity and family offices), portfolio company boards, management teams, and stakeholders. The NTPEC mission aligns with the IECG mission to connect the dots for management, board members and stakeholders; to help build better management/board/stakeholder systems; and to offer thought leadership to Institute members and the corporate governance community.
The Committee will comprise members of the IECG Advisory Board, IECG members, and representatives of corporate or industry IECG sponsors. Committee member backgrounds will include private equity professionals, portfolio company board members, management team members and advisory professionals.
Responsibilities
This Committee will be responsible for hosting programs and events to further the NTPEC vision and mission, including:
- Determine the qualifications for joining NTPEC as a participant
- Convene NTPEC participants to address key governance and value creation issues with peers:
- Two panels each year
- Quarterly after-work receptions
- Offer a professional certificate program on a topic of concern to NTPEC participants
- n general, arrange for financial sponsors to support IECG, and in particular help with NTPEC plans and activities
- Develop and execute marketing and promotional materials
- Create a system of surveys for use in building a database of survey results that would be of interest to NTPEC participants
- Publish relevant material in social media
