Congratulations, Class of 2020!
We’re so proud of each and every one of you for finishing your last semester strong, despite these unforeseen circumstances due to COVID-19. While this may not be how you imagined your time at the Jindal School to end, there is still much to be celebrated.
Dean Hasan Pirkul shares this message:
“Greetings, Jindal School graduates. Congratulations on your accomplishments. This is a happy day when we see you off to start your new lives. I know that many of you have new jobs or have advanced in your current jobs. Please know that we are proud of your accomplishments. I wish I had the opportunity to shake your hands and celebrate with you in person.
I hope one day you’ll come back and give us an opportunity to do that. But for now, good wishes will have to do.
Farewell and stay safe.”

While we can’t celebrate with you as planned today, we’d love to see you soon. In fact, we’d love to see how you’re celebrating your graduation. Whether it’s with a cake on the back porch with mom and dad, a drive-by parade full of family and friends or a simple selfie to document this time in your life — we want to recognize you.
Please email photos to jsomsocial@utdallas.edu, including your name and major, and we’ll share a submissions video next week.
Until then, be proud of yourselves. You’ve accomplished so much in a few short years. You have now joined The University of Texas at Dallas alumni family. Congratulations! Whoosh!
