Objective

The goal of the conference is to bring together researchers with a common interest in the intersection of human behavior and operations, with the aim of sharing current work, fostering research development and developing relationships among scholars in the field.

Welcome

We are excited to welcome you to the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University for the 19th annual Behavioral Operations Conference, taking place in sunny Tempe, Arizona, from May 3–5, 2026!

The conference will begin on Sunday, May 3, with the one-day Emerging Research Workshop, followed by a welcome reception that evening. The main conference sessions will take place on Monday and Tuesday, May 4–5, and will feature a full slate of presentations, discussions, and opportunities to connect with colleagues from across the field.

*If you are interested in presenting at the Emerging Research Workshop or the Main Conference, please submit an extended abstract (one-page limit) for consideration. Note that the conference typically receives many more submissions than can be accommodated in the program. While this reflects the strong interest in our community, it also makes the selection process highly competitive. To assist the selection committee, please ensure that your abstract clearly describes your research objectives, methods, and key findings, as well as its current stage of development. Note that the Main Conference is generally reserved for research that is at a more advanced stage of completion.

The registration/abstract submission will open November 3, 2025.
