The new wing of the Naveen Jindal School of Management, which significantly expands the building, formally opens December 1 with a 3:45 p.m. ribbon cutting that will feature speeches, visitor tours and a virtual scavenger hunt for students.
At 108,000 square feet, the new facility is more than half again as large as the original building, which measures 204,000 square feet.
To be held in the first-floor commons area of the new wing, the event also will include servings of a giant cake featuring a photo likeness of the new wing and “Whooshie Pies,” UT Dallas treats. Jason’s Deli, the resident food-service vendor in the new addition, is catering the celebration.
Dean Hasan Pirkul who will speak and play host, is encouraging special guests and other visitors not only to explore the new space but also “to interact with our students, who have quickly made it their second home.”
Navigating the New Addition
Maps to navigate the new building will be handed out at the event and are available online. The new addition also has been incorporated into the online campus map of the school.
