- Provide a way for undergraduates to ask thoughtful and professional questions about careers
- Connect an alumnus/alumna with a student in a nonthreatening and supportive role
- Give Jindal School alumni a way to remain connected to their alma mater and to today’s college students
- Offer college students an opportunity to get questions answered in a nonjudgmental and/or nonthreatening environment
- Alumni mentors of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcomed and needed. Mentors and mentees are encouraged to connect on a regular basis (i.e. once-a-month phone call, in-person meeting or email conversation). However, the frequency and form of communication are things you both can determine.
- Throughout the year, Jindal School Alumni Relations will offer tips on effective mentorship, topics to discuss with your student and suggested activities to connect. Jindal School Alumni Relations will hold a few events for all mentors and mentees. These are not mandatory to attend. The JindalConnect team and alumni relations staff at jsomalumni@utdallas.edu will answer any questions you might have throughout your mentorship.
