What is the Society for Human Resource Management?

The student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) at UT Dallas is a college-level affiliate of SHRM, a professional organization that serves the needs of HR professionals and advances the practice of human resource management. The SHRM at UT Dallas chapter is student managed and brings in HR professionals from the community to offer new insights into the practice of HR. SHRM at UT Dallas has been recognized for exemplary merit several times in the past few years. The SHRM at UT Dallas chapter supports mentoring programs with new career professionals, provides pro bono HR support to small organizations, and conducts fundraising events to support itself. Members of the SHRM at UT Dallas chapter attend SHRM Dallas chapter luncheons and attend SHRM national conventions.
