Julie has a background in corporate marketing, teaching and program administration. In the corporate setting, she has worked in marketing for companies including Procter and Gamble, Maybelline and the Mary Kay Corporation. As an instructor, she has taught on a part-time or full-time basis for the University of Texas at Arlington and since 2001 for the University of Texas at Dallas. While at UT Dallas, she introduced in 2010 and still runs the Bachelor of Science in Marketing degree serving roughly 500 marketing students as the program director and AMA Faculty Adviser. Her degrees include a BFA in Journalism-PR from Southern Methodist University, MBA-Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin and a Ph.D. in Public Affairs from UT Dallas. Her research focuses on water management issues and classroom community engagement (service-learning) projects. Her family includes Bryan Haworth, husband, and grown children Cori, Callie and Luke. She loves tennis, lakes and hiking.
