Sustainability is critical to our future. In 2016, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by world leaders a historic UN Summit. These Goals universally apply to all, aim to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change, while ensuring that no one is left behind.
The Global Sustainability Experience 2023 (GSE) at UT Dallas will bring awareness and excitement to the topic of sustainability by providing a forum for academic and industry partners to discuss sustainability trends, generate sustainable business ideas, and engage students in developing innovative approaches and potential solutions to critical global issues.
Competition:
This competition invites student teams to present their sustainable business ideas to a panel of judges. The subject matter centers on the United Nations and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Students will have the chance to channel their passion for environmental preservation while simultaneously networking with industry professionals, attending exclusive workshops, and receiving the chance to win thousands of dollars in prize money.
Team Requirements:
- 3-5 students
- Any major
- Can be graduate or undergraduate
- Must be a full-time student
- You do not need to have a team to register
