“Although JSOM has given me innumerable count of memories, The best part still remains being part of Infinity Lions Club and Graduate Dean’s Council. I had heard of lions club from my friends even when I was back in India and the day I joined on the day I landed in US. I loved doing all the community service such as Car Wash, Old Age home visit, Sports day for Blind and Impaired children etc. Luckily I went on to became the President of the club in February 2017 and served for One year. It is my one true love and It will remain with me forever. Similarly with Graduate Dean’s council, I got to stay close to Monica Powell and Dean Hasan Pirkul and learnt amazing things from them. These experiences are truly precious.

“Oren and I met the summer I transferred to UT Dallas. I had just come back from being in the Philippines for two years and growing up I went to a private high school for athletes so I barely knew anyone at UTD. He asked me to be his girlfriend a couple weeks before school started and from there, our UTD love story began. We are both JSOM, he was Business Administration and I was in Marketing. We got to take one class together during his final semester, Intro to Sales. I was quite shy and knew that sales was not up my alley. Oren convinced me to do Rookie Preview and if you fast forward a year later, I ended up going through the Sales Program and making the final round of Pro Sales.

JSOM was fun for us as we got involved with the Career Center. We both would go to multiple career events and he found his internship with Enterprise there and his first job with Tesla right before graduation. I am also super thankful to the Career Center as I found all three of my internships there and my last one with Ericsson turned into a full time position for me right before I graduated as well. Somewhere in the midst of all this we started a company, Rocket Launch Creative, and we actually hired JSOM students to intern with us. We’ve been together for over two years and it was a whirlwind, but JSOM will always have a special place in our hearts. In fact, Oren is back for grad school!”

I fell in love at JSOM.

As I’m coming to the end of my undergraduate career in Healthcare Management, I fell in love with the many qualities UTD has offered me.

I fell in love with the depth of complexity my career has. I fell in love with the amazing way my professors are able to story tell and simplify each subject while applying it to real world experiences. I fell in love with the way JSOM prepared my critical thinking skills to be efficient in the real world. I fell in love with the way JSOM’s Career Center helped me develop my interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. I fell in love with the overwhelming opportunities JSOM offers in networking and employment preparation.

I fell in love with the person I became, while attending JSOM.

And that’s my JSOM love story.”

“JSOM is the place we met each other, it’s the place we studied together, it’s the place where we laughed, it’s the place where we cried, and it’s the place we fell in love with each other. David & Pang.”
