With the shelter-in-place order, the Naveen Jindal School of Management has implemented virtual learning. All our class offerings, workshops, advising appointments, and more are now accessible online only. We realize this transition has been an adjustment and have an important update for you regarding classes and credit options.
Undergraduate students: You will have the option to choose credit vs. no credit for your classes this semester. Graduate students: You will have the option to choose pass vs. fail for your classes this semester.
Don’t stress: You will be receiving an email with WebEx information for a Town Hall meeting taking place next week.
There will be one meeting for all undergraduate students, as well as one meeting for all graduate students. Your program directors, academic advisors and deans will all be present to answer your questions and help guide you through the decision-making process.
Senior Associate Graduate Dean Monica Powell Shares a Quick Update for All Students
Well, hello there! This is Monica Powell. I’m the senior associate Dean at the Naveen Jindal School of Management. However, at this moment, I am in my own home because of shelter in place. I wanted to send an important message out to all of our undergrads and all of our grads, about the new options you have: as undergrads to choose credit vs. no credit, and as grads, pass vs. fail.
This has created lots of questions for you, and I know that everybody wants to address, “How does this affect me?”
So, you’re going to receive an invitation to a webinar that will be held this next week.
Where you’ll have an opportunity to hear specifically how to address this decision for yourself. We will have program directors, academic advisors and your deans present to help you address how you’re going to respond to this option. Now remember: You don’t need to rush in making this decision, because it doesn’t need to be made until April the 30th.
So come on board, join us next week for one of these sessions, and we’ll be able to help you navigate this very complex decision. We look forward to seeing you then. We hope in the meantime you’ll be safe and be well.
Take care; we’ll be in touch again soon.
