The UT Dallas fiscal year closes on Aug. 31. Once again, Jindal School is looking for bragging rights on campus by having the most alumni who donate to its general and scholarship funds before Aug. 31. Right now, about 3 percent of JSOM alumni have donated in FY 2018. Any amount you’d like to donate today will help push JSOM over the top.
Earlier this year, the campus celebrated its second annual Giving Day. Thanks to the support of UT Dallas alumni, corporate partners, students, friends, faculty, staff and the community, UT Dallas received $387,736 from 2,025 gifts in that 18-hour fundraiser.
Brandon Anderson, the Jindal School server manager, was one of the JSOM staffers who donated that day. A total of 259 gifts were made to the school with a value of $106,410. More than 50 campus groups offered several support options so donors could give to the school, program, organization or scholarship fund that was most important to them.
Giving Day celebrated Comet spirit with Temoc and popcorn for student donors in JSOM. Local businesses participated in Giving Day by donating a portion of their proceeds for the day back to the University. These businesses included Chipotle, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Panera and Studio Movie Grill.
University President Richard Benson expressed his cosmic gratitude to the generous donors who helped make Giving Day 2018 a success.
