Financial Analyst at CBRE
What did you do for your undergrad, and how did it help prepare you for graduate school?
I had completed my Bachelors of Commerce (Finance) from Mumbai University, India before I began my graduate studies at UTD. This helped me learn the basics of the Finance and form a strong foundation upon which I was able to develop my knowledge during my masters. It also helped me hit the ground running and start learning from the get go.
Why did you choose your MS Degree Program at JSOM?
During my research for a good graduate school, I saw that the MS in Finance at JSOM offered more than just quality education, it provided an access to huge knowledge pool and experience from the faculties and the peers alike. It had the widely diverse class with students from all around the world to learn from, while having 200+ student organizations to develop myself outside of the classroom and make friends. Being located really close to Dallas, a major city which has great opportunities also influenced my decision to enroll at JSOM.
What is a memorable experience you had while attending JSOM that has helped shape your career path?
Maybe it was a life-altering internship, a great mentor, enlightening case study, etc. Apart from the great education that I have acquired at JSOM, the most memorable part is the friends I have made and the memories I have created here which will be cherished for the rest of my life. I have also found myself some lifelong mentors in the faculties who are always ready to help me in every aspect of my career in Finance.
