Two faculty members from the Naveen Jindal School of Management have been named by D CEO as Dallas 500 honorees for 2024.
Dr. Hasan Pirkul, Caruth Chair and Jindal School dean; and Gaurav Shekhar, assistant dean for graduate programs and an assistant professor in the Information Systems Area, were selected for their incredible contributions to the business sector of Dallas.
The annual publication features profiles of the most influential North Texas executives in more than 50 industry categories. The 2024 edition includes well-known, emerging, and behind-the-scenes leaders who are the key players in keeping the regional economy running.
Pirkul was named to the Education, Government, and Nonprofits list, being recognized for transforming the Jindal School into one of the country’s foremost public business schools. Shekhar was named an Emerging Leader for his role as the director of the largest analytics program in the country. He is the youngest dean in the University’s 54-year history and director of the Master of Science in Business Analytics Flex program and the Master of Science in Business Analytics Online Cohort program.
