DMHP hosts domestic and international trips that allow students to build community and develop professionally while visiting businesses and participating in cultural excursions. The program also provides scholarships to students who study or intern abroad.
Global Experience Scholarship
Studying and traveling abroad is an enriching opportunity for students to expand their UT Dallas experience and gain personal and professional skills that will increase their competitiveness in an increasingly global economy. The Global Experience Scholarship (GES) helps Davidson Management Honors Program students take advantage of these opportunities by funding a portion of the trip. Students who have received the GES have studied abroad during Spring, Fall, and Summer semesters and have gone to many countries including:
- Finland
- Germany
- China
- South Korea
- Australia
- Great Britain
- And many more!
Spring Break in D.C. & New York
A select number of students in the Sophomore class travel to Washington, D.C. and New York City over their Spring Break. This trip provides students with an opportunity to travel to two of the nation’s most popular cities! Students visit important historical sites like the White House, Capitol Building, Smithsonian Museums, Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty. Students also tour businesses in each city such as Deloitte, the United Nations, and the New York Stock Exchange. This trip is focused on developing the students’ leadership attributes, while also providing fun and memorable experiences as they grow together as a cohort.
International Trip
20-25 students travel with DMHP staff to a country for cultural experiences and global business site visits. Students are able to meet other DMHP students who are members of different cohorts than them and go on exciting excursions with their classmates. Students also have the opportunity to meet with employers and companies in that country. Previously, DMHP has traveled to Australia, Prague, Croatia, China, and Peru.
