UTD Current Student Stock Trading Competition
The Finance Lab sponsors stock trading competitions during each long semester where students get $1,000,000 in virtual money to trade using simulation software that mirrors the current prices of securities in major exchanges throughout the world. The top 3 winners at the end of the semester in two categories – highest return and Sharpe ratio — win cash prizes of $900, $600 and $300, respectively. Students must be currently enrolled during the semester to participate in the competition and participation is free.
