Pirkul joins UT Dallas President Richard C. Benson and several Jindal School supporters and alumni who were recognized.
Dr. Hasan Pirkul, Caruth Chair and dean of the Naveen Jindal School of Management, was named to the 2021 edition of the Dallas 500, a list of “the most powerful business leaders in Dallas-Fort Worth” recently compiled by D CEO magazine and presented in a special edition.
Pirkul’s mini bio in the magazine notes he has been dean since 1996, spearheaded the building of the Jindal School’s two buildings, one in 2003 and one in 2013, and has watched enrollments triple during his tenure.
Pirkul was featured in the Education and Nonprofits section of the publication, along with UT Dallas President and Eugene McDermott Distinguished University Chair of Leadership Dr. Richard C. Benson.
Dr. Bhavani Thuraisingham, executive director of the University’s Cyber Security Research and Education Institute and Founders Chair in Engineering and Computer Science, is featured in the list’s Technology section. Also in that list: Dr. Walter Voit, BS’05, MS’06, associate professor of materials science and engineering and of mechanical engineering, director of the Center for Engineering Innovation in the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science, and founder and CEO of Adaptive 3D Technologies, a company launched through the UT Dallas Venture Development Center.
