Faculty-Led Study Trips

student Hamza Afzal Pamukkale on a study abroad trip

All JSOM full-time, part-time or international students are strongly encouraged to enroll in a faculty-Led international study-trip course to learn about a specific country, in terms of its economic status, cultural and political aspects in global business.

As part of the study-trip course, the entire class and the professor take a trip to a country and visit various companies and learn about their operations compared to similar companies in the United States. Students also venture for sightseeing and learn about the country’s culture and history.

These international study-trips usually last about 7 to 10 days and often take place over Thanksgiving, Spring Break or in May, immediately after classes end. Students pay tuition for the course and a program fee that covers their accommodation, entrance into museums and cultural sites, ground transportation, local guide and more. Students are also responsible for their own airfare, food and visa (if applicable).

JSOM students have previously visited Australia, Cambodia, China, Chile, Cuba, Ethiopia, Germany, India, Japan, Poland, Singapore, UK, Vietnam and more. Please visit the UTD Education Abroad Portal for this year’s international trip courses.
