Accounting Undergrads Celebrate at Annual Luncheon

Every spring, the JSOM Undergraduate Accounting program holds an honors luncheon to bestow accolades on top achievers and make predictions about future career choices. This year, honors at the May 6 event went to:

The

Students named 'Most Likely to Pass the CPA Exam in One Sitting
Pearl Promwanrat (pictured to the left with Amy Troutman, associate coordinator of the Accounting area), Sam Teichelman, Jennifer Evans, Japhen Lott and Daniel Quintana were named “Most Likely to Pass the CPA Exam in One Sitting.”
Students named 'Most Likely to become an FBI Agent'
Anna Knutson (pictured to the left, with Tiffany Bortz, associate director of the BS in Accounting program) and Mark Becker (not pictured) were chosen as “Most Likely to Become an FBI Agent.”
Students predicted to become CEOs
Predicted as the first in their class to become chief executive officers (CEOs): Rafael (R.C.) Diaz (left) and Jason Mauldin
Students predicted to become CFOs
And most likely to become the first chief financial officers (CFOs): April Crawford and Girish Shrestha
Katelyn Hanks, with fellow students, received the PEP award

Students voted 'Most Likely to Become President of a Non-Profit'
Kassey Martin (with John Barden and Tiffany Bortz) was chosen as “Most Likely to Become President of a Not-for-Profit Organization.”
Students named 'Most Likely to have a Career in Politics'
Kyle D’Souza (with Tiffany Bortz and Amy Troutman) was named “Most Likely to Have a Career in Politics or with the SEC.”
Students named 'Most Likely to Become a Faculty Member
And Teresa Tran (with Tiffany Bortz and Amy Troutman) was named “Most Likely to Become a Faculty Member.”

Jon Gohn (not pictured) was selected as “Most Likely to Become a Partner in a Public Accounting Firm.”
