Full-Time MBAs host KIPP Truth Academy students

KIPP Truth Academy

Naveen Jindal School of Management full-time MBA students hosted 75 students from the Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP) Truth Academy in Dallas On March 23. The one-day visit by KIPP seventh-graders has become an annual JSOM event at which the MBA students introduce the middle-schoolers to UT Dallas and lead them in team-building and networking exercises. The KIPP students visit the campus and learn presentation skills designed to help them prepare for interviews with high schools.

Here, MBA "coaches" MeLinda McCall, a JSOM 2010 MBA alum (second from left), and current full-time MBA student Rafael Barbosa (center) guided a KIPP group in a team-building exercise in which the blindfolded student took directions from classmates to construct a tower of blocks.
