Weeklong Experiences Abroad

student Hamza Afzal Pamukkale on a study abroad trip

Every year, the Jindal School offers several Jindal Global Experience courses (JGEs). These courses focus on one specific country or region, and the economic, cultural and political factors that affect business there. Halfway through the course, the entire class and the professor take an international field trip to that country, where they visit companies, hear presentations from local professionals and do some sightseeing. These trips usually last seven to 10 days and often take place over Thanksgiving, Spring Break or in May immediately after classes end.

This is a great way for students to have a study abroad experience even if they have full-time jobs or responsibilities that prohibit them from taking a lot of time off. Students pay tuition for the course and a program fee that covers their accommodation, entrance into museums and site visits, ground transportation, group meals, and more. They are responsible for their own flight and visa (if applicable).

In the past few years, students have visited Australia, Cambodia, Chile, Cuba, Ethiopia, the United Kingdom and Vietnam through a JGE course. To find a list of courses offered this academic year, visit the Comets Abroad Portal
