Read why the MS SCM Online degree worked for Conal Chan

“The MS SCM online program has been a truly transformative journey, surpassing my initial expectations and significantly broadening my skill set in unforeseen ways. I deeply appreciate the program’s comprehensive offering of courses, delving into essential methods of efficiencies and providing in-depth technical expertise, all while offering the flexibility to attend remotely. The program not only enhanced my ability to manage operations for my accounting teams but also equipped me with a mindset to adeptly navigate the ever-evolving landscape of challenges and opportunities in our workload.

As someone committed to streamlining processes and embracing innovative solutions, I found the evolution of teaching methods in each course to be particularly intuitive and tailored to the subject matter. Operations courses benefited from collaborative group projects, technical skill-based courses presented real-time diagrams for better comprehension, an ERP course included detailed instruction manuals for practical application that complemented the theory taught in lecture videos, and the list goes on. The interactive nature of the courses, the hands-on projects, and the real-world case studies not only enhanced my understanding but also instilled in me a mindset deeply rooted in continuous improvement. I now also find joy in learning about processes in other industries in my spare time.

I extend my sincere appreciation to UTD for delivering a program that not only met the demands of remote study but actively fostered a culture of adaptability, efficiency, and innovation. While my initial intention in attending this program was to enhance my technical skills, I ended up graduating with aspirations to reach even greater heights in my career.”

What are exams like for online courses?

Every course is different, but most courses have timed online exams, and some online courses require that the final exam be taken at a proctored exam center. The proctored exam center selected by a student must be approved by our testing center; there are numerous national and international testing locations. For more information on the availability of proctored exams, please visit the Testing Center website or call 972-883-2460.
