MS SCM program has a huge list of elective courses, lots of career management events, amazing faculty, and learning through case studies so that we can relate to real life scenarios. I would like to thank the SCM department for the multiple resume sessions to motivate the students, and that is a huge help while applying for internships and full-time jobs.

Fall 2018 Graduate

Most satisfying experience for me was studying Operations Management and Operations Analytics.

Fall 2018 Graduate

The professors are very knowledgeable and very friendly. The core courses build a strong foundation and the electives enabled me to study the courses that I have interests in.

Fall 2018 Graduate

All faculties are always willing to help.

Fall 2018 Graduate

The most satisfying aspect for me is that JSOM provides professional training. I would recommend the program due to its comprehensive program curriculum.

Fall 2018 Graduate

The most satisfying experiences for me have been the flexible course time and the ability to spread out CPT credits into 3 semesters. DFW area offers a lot of opportunities and is very affordable for students.

Fall 2018 Graduate

One of the program highlights would be the capstone project where students get an opportunity to work with company on real-world project with professionals. I would recommend this program because of great professors, great courses, and flexibility to choose a variety of courses.

Fall 2018 Graduate

The alumni support has been helpful to secure my internship and a full-time job. This is something that I feel is the biggest advantage UTD graduate have compared to other school.

The program is a great platform to gain SCM skills and be ready for professional work.

Fall 2018 Graduate

The most satisfying experience is the flexibility in curriculum. It allowed me to have 3 internships with my Masters. I liked the program because the internship and the courses are industry ready.

Fall 2018 Graduate

ISM student chapter mentoring program is really great and lots of students can join freely and learn.

Fall 2018 Graduate

The school needs to do better at networking with local businesses to provide internships or co-op opportunities.

Fall 2018 Graduate

The academic portion was good, but I have no clue what I’ll actually need to know in the working environment, so partner with corporations to promote skills/education that they value.

Fall 2018 Graduate

I feel that our program is getting better and better every year and I see that school is putting a lot of effort in building a better reputation, so I highly recommend this program.

Fall 2018 Graduate

There are workshops that we can attend to improve our ability in many aspects, such as business communication, writing resume, and some computer skills. Sometimes it’s hard to find a place for group discussion at Jindal. More chairs and tables, or study rooms would be nice.

Fall 2018 Graduate

There are student organizations which relate to our program. The program director introduces related certifications we can take at the beginning of the semester. Both of student organizations and certification really help us to sharpen our skills and enhance our knowledge.

Fall 2018 Graduate

There are many good professors who are really good at teaching, but some of them just reading the slides. Those classes are kind of boring, and I can’t really remember what I have learned.

Fall 2018 Graduate

The school offers many resources but some of them are difficulty to find.

Fall 2018 Graduate

School has buses for transportation, students who have no cars would be limited to go around freely in the area.

Fall 2018 Graduate

School should partner with corporations to provide real world experience, rather than having students try to do everything themselves. The capstone course needs improvement and it should reduce its class size.

Fall 2018 Graduate

I enjoyed my journey a lot in the program provided by JSOM and thank you for all the hard work you all took for this program to be helpful to the students. While the program is targeting the students who are seeking for a job upon the graduation, a few research oriented courses/programs are needed for students who seek for an academic career after the graduation (for example, PhD and a position in research institution).

Spring 2018 Graduate

Excellent program academically. Very helpful MBA program team. Active student organizations and a very inclusive campus environment. Improvement Opportunities:I found the CMC not prioritizing relationship building with the companies although I have seen improvement in this over the last two semesters. CMC can do less networking panels that the student orgs can organize (and do organize) and focus on building relationship with hiring managers and recruiters to place our students. I felt like an outsider in the MS program as a dual degree student. Due to the absence of a permanent program director in Supply Chain, I could not engage and change that as well.

Spring 2018 Graduate

It’s a good program. Better opportunities for internship and full time jobs will further help students and university as well.

Spring 2018 Graduate

Most professors are extremely helpful for us, except few professors that I chose at first semester. Student organizations are also extremely good. The only negative point for me is just this CMC, I never receive any useful or helpful information from them, only discrimination and derision. Strongly recommend put more funds for student organizations.

Spring 2018 Graduate

Overall, it was a wonderful experience learning most advanced technologies and trends in Supply Chain Area. We can improve this program by adding some core analytical courses. Global Logistics course should have logistics optimization models using statistical methods. Also if student can get hands on some Supply chain software, it will give students edge in market.

Spring 2018 Graduate

The advisers were very helpful and I appreciated the ‘free elective’ option, which allowed the student to take 1 course outside their major courses. The courses provided great depth, provided insight into real-world scenarios, and focused on the analytics/thought process of a manager

Fall 2017 Graduate

I loved the flexibility of the school. I wish there were more interactions with students, but I am satisfied with the level of interaction I had.
