EMBA - GLEMBA Newsletter - December 2017

Holiday greetings, alumni!

Dr. David Springate and I were recently talking about the evolution of diversity in the workplace, from races and gender to employees challenged with neurological conditions such as autism, dyspraxia or dyslexia. For an interesting article, please read “Neurodiversity as a Competitive Advantage” by Robert D. Austin and Garp P. Pisano in the May-June issue of the Harvard Business Review.

With the holidays approaching, I think about how diversity and technology have enriched my holidays—celebrating Hanukkah with a girlfriend, 24 students from China and India joining me and for a Thanksgiving dinner two years ago, and simply reconnecting with friends in different parts of the world. I hope your holidays are joyful and filled with all the treasures diversity has to offer.

Happy holidays!
