Gautam received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2012 and started working for one of the most valued IT services brand globally- TCS. Alongside his job as a software engineer, Gautam, along with his friend, started up a media and entertainment firm to quench his entrepreneurial thirst. He was also actively involved in hosting live events, sports broadcasting, video production, etc. Gautam is also a passionate public speaker and joined Toastmasters International in 2013. He has delivered over 250 speeches, training programs, and workshops, and has also won speech contests at the state, national, and cross-country levels. He is currently pursuing his Full-Time MBA with a focus on Marketing and an MS in Business Analytics with a focus on Marketing Analytics. He choose UTD because of its small class size, diversity, and the geographical advantage of Dallas. Outside of academics, Gautam loves photography, music, and pretty much everything that increases happiness levels.

Dr. Sarvjeet Singh received his Ph.D. in Cancer Biology in 2007 from the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology in India. From 2007 to 2013, Dr. Singh acquired advanced scientific training as a postdoctoral fellow in the Division of Cardiology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where his research focused on cardiac and muscle disease. Dr. Singh was awarded a highly competitive American Heart Association (AHA) Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Grant (2009-2011) to fund his research. In addition, he was selected as a finalist for the 2010 Louis N. and Arnold M. Katz Basic Science Research Award, which is sponsored by AHA and represents the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a junior investigator. In February of 2013, Dr. Singh joined the cardiology research faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he led a team of researchers to perform cutting edge experimental research to discover novel pathways involved in the progression of heart and muscle disease. Dr. Singh joined the MBA program to develop a better understanding of business concepts and further build upon his professional experience in a more business centric manner. He chose the full time MBA program at UT Dallas for its low tuition and high national rankings.

After growing up in Richardson, Andrew graduated from the University of Miami (FL) in 2015 with a BBA in Marketing and a minor in Sports Administration. After graduation, he went to work for a small textile recycling firm in Dallas, TX. During his time with the company, Andrew was able to hold roles in several areas including Accounting/Human Resources Associate, Director of Supply Chain, and Director of Financial Analysis. Andrew decided to go back to school to improve his business and finance skills, and is currently working toward obtaining both his MBA and an MS in Finance. He chose UTD over other schools due to the incredible staff, rapidly growing prestige, and ties in the DFW area.

Kayla Hunt is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan and holds a Bachelors degree in Marketing and International Business from Cornerstone University. During her time at Cornerstone, she received the 2016 Business division leadership award and 5 NAIA Track and Field All-American honors. After completing her Bachelors degree, she worked at the US headquarters of Trotec Laser – an Austrian industrial laser company – in sales and marketing. During her time at Trotec, Kayla had the opportunity to work with cross-functional, international teams to create and launch marketing campaigns for the US market. She also had the opportunity to plan and operate industry trade-shows across the United States. Kayla decided to pursue her MBA to prepare for a leadership position in Brand Management and to further develop her skills in Marketing Analytics. She selected the UT Dallas full-time MBA cohort because of the small, personal size of the cohort and the excellent value of the program. Outside of school, Kayla enjoys trail-running, hiking, camping, and traveling.

Aaron received a B.A. in Political Science with Minors in Economics and Leadership Studies from Hardin-Simmons University in 2017. It was during his undergrad that he became fascinated with leadership and organizational growth which led him to pursue an MBA. Aaron believes that persistence and curiosity are at the crux of individual, as well as organizational success. With his concentrations in Strategic Management and Finance, he hopes to land a role in business consulting to help businesses pursue sustainable interactions with customers and clients. Aaron chose UT Dallas over other business schools due to its career-focused approach and supportive mentality towards students.

Gaurang is an Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer (2012) from M.I.T. College of Engineering in Maharashtra, India. During his 5 years working at NIIT Technologies Limited, he led various cross functional teams to provide tech solutions to US-based insurance firms. He is a firm believer of collaboration and win-win strategic thinking. Gaurang aims to accelerate the growth of small and medium sized businesses using modern business methods and the latest technologies. He chose the UT Dallas MBA program because of the small class size, warm culture, international student friendly environment, high return of investment, alumni network, and flexible coursework. Gaurang is also a photography enthusiast and is currently associated with The Mercury, UT Dallas Newspaper.

Joel began working for himself in the audiovisual industry shortly after his high school graduation. After receiving a B.A. in English from UT Arlington, he had a brief jaunt into the world of publishing but decided that career was not for him. Since 2005, he has traveled all over the United States providing technological and operational expertise in audio and video systems. After twelve years, the extensive jet-setting became a driving force in his decision to return to school for an MBA from UT Dallas. Along with a desire to work locally to be home with his growing family, Joel is passionate about people, especially entrepreneurs, and would like to be a part of their financial success. Joel chose UTD for its breadth of experience in the finance and entrepreneurial sectors and because of its small cohort, short length of time out of the workforce, and the staff who are committed to the success of each student.

Mia received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from Tongji University in Shanghai, China. Before joining the UT Dallas Full-Time MBA program, she was the Total Rewards & Compensation Manager at Allianz Life Insurance. During her three years with Allianz, she had international assignments in Singapore and Germany for internal consulting projects and had the opportunity to build the inaugural employee stock options. She was attracted to UT Dallas’ diverse, intimate, and collaborative community as well as the flexible curriculum, which allows her to pursue a joint degree in Business Analytics. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, dancing and teaching Chinese calligraphy.

A native Dallas resident, Michael has a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Dallas. He worked in finance at Fidelity Investments for 2 years, and then left for an opportunity to do Business to Business sales for FedEx Services, where he received the highly-coveted President’s Club award. He is currently pursuing an MBA at UT Dallas with a concentration in Supply Chain Management in order to make a career change and prepare himself to be a business leader. He chose UTD because of its value, measured by the high quality of its education, its high national rankings, and low tuition cost. Michael, a self-certified nerd, enjoys reading, playing guitar, and travelling.

Sami earned a classroom teaching license and a B.A. in History from Texas State University. With her teaching license, Sami taught high school social studies before she continued her education and earned an English-as-a-Second-Language teaching certificate. This led her to work as an English teacher in Liberia, Costa Rica in 2015. One year later, Sami returned to the United States and started working at Texas State University as an administrative assistant. Working in higher education pushed her to pursue an MBA and transition into the Information Technology field. Sami chose UTD’s MBA program because of its small, diverse cohort environment, and its eagerness to help students transition into new careers. In her free time, Sami enjoys reading, watching movies, outdoor activities such as swimming and rock-climbing, and is a passionate traveler (9 countries and counting)!

Sathi is from Kolkata, India and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur. Upon graduation, Sathi joined Schneider Electric as a Product Design Engineer in the Research and Development department based out of Vadodara, India. Sathi collaborated with different cross-functional teams within the organization in India and outside India including France, Germany, and Egypt during her 4-year association with the organization. She developed a prime product in the medium voltage market and led several domestic and international projects. Apart from her professional successes, Sathi represented Schneider Electric as a campus ambassador, volunteered in CSR initiatives, and organized a company-wide technology event. Sathi decided to pursue her MBA because she felt the need to have a broader business perspective so she can make a greater impact on her organization. She chose the Full-Time MBA program at UT Dallas because of its small cohort size, high return on investment, and wide choice of elective courses. After earning her MBA, Sathi would like to be a Product Manager and make new technologies available to consumers and businesses. She has a deep interest in travel photography and has traveled extensively to different parts of India. Sathi believes that traveling and meeting new people always open new doors of learning.

Seth is an expert at navigating the fuzzy front end of the integrated new product development process, from opportunity identification to integrated prototyping for product approval. He brings a design attitude to user-centered methodologies for creating innovation. Seth has a strong aesthetic sensitivity combined with technical proficiency and believes that great design resides at the symbiosis of marketing strategy, engineering, and design with the intention of meeting the needs, wants, and desires of the user. Seth believes that pursuing inspiration, embracing ambiguity, and maintaining curiosity are necessary for discovering paths that lead to both disruptive and incremental innovations. Seth enrolled in the Full-Time MBA program at the University of Texas at Dallas to increase his leadership effectiveness and balance his design and innovation experience. He intends to pursue his passions in marketing, product planning, and innovation strategy within the automotive industry. Seth is a somewhat non-traditional Full-Time MBA student in that he gained full-time employment as a Senior Portfolio Planning Strategist with Toyota after his first semester in the program.

Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Sean earned his B.B.A. in Information Systems with minor in Military Science from Georgia Southern University in 2012. After graduation, he was commissioned as a Signal Officer (25A) in the U.S. Army. He served at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Fort Gordon, and Fort Hood. He held positions as Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Operations Officer, and Deputy Brigade S6. In 2018, Sean separated from active duty and is currently serving as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves. With a M.B.A. in Real Estate and a M.S. in Finance, he is seeking work in the Commercial Real Estate industry. Sean chose the UT Dallas MBA for its concentration options, dual degree program, and warmth towards veterans.

Charles earned a B.S. in International Relations from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2006. In 2015, he earned his M.S. in the Administration of Justice and Homeland Security from Salve Regina University. Charles has served United States Army as a Field Artillery officer for the last 12 years and has spent time in both Iraq and Saudi Arabia as part of his duties. During his military career, Charles served in positions of increasing responsibility including Platoon Leader, Company Commander, and Battalion Operations Officer. After leaving active duty, Charles decided to earn his MBA to add academic business knowledge to his extensive leadership skills. In his free time, Charles coaches his son’s youth soccer team and is an avid fan of both the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers.

David Mahan

In 2009, David enlisted in the US Army as a combat medic and was stationed in Fort Riley, KS in the Big Red One, 1st Infantry Division. He completed one deployment to Iraq in 2011 and graduated from the Warrior Leader Course in 2012. During his final year in the Army, he trained and supervised junior medics while managing clinical operations for his battalion at Farrelly Health Clinic. In 2013, David separated from the army and returned to Dallas. He earned a B.A. in Professional and Technical Communication and a Minor in Management from the University of North Texas in 2017. After graduating, David worked as a Technical Writer at Fujitsu Network Communications where he collaborated with stakeholders to deliver product documentation. While at Fujitsu, David was recognized for his outstanding work ethic and leadership. David chose the Full-Time MBA program at UT Dallas because of the high ranking, professional development opportunities, low cost, and comradery from the unique cohort experience. The personal attention from faculty and professors makes this program an incredible opportunity for transitioning veterans. With his MBA, David plans to transition into product management utilizing his military leadership and technical communication skills. In his free time, David enjoys working on cars, writing instrumental music, and traveling with his fiancé.

Vincent earned his M.S in Computer Forensics from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York. After graduation, he served as a Criminal Investigator for the United States Government. He has worked as a Senior Investigator, leading fraud and criminal investigations against individuals and corporate entities throughout the United States. He has held positions including team leader, task force operator, and special operations. Vincent is looking to expand his expertise in Healthcare and Operations and chose UT Dallas MBA for its options, dual degree program, and small cohort concentration.

Tiffany graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2012 with a B.A. in Psychology and earned a Business Foundations Certificate with the McCombs School of Business. After graduation, she was offered a role as an operations manager for Target’s Distribution Center. Tiffany was also Captain of Diversity and Inclusion at Target. Tiffany then worked as a Production Controller for ULTA Beauty. She has held positions including team leader, production and planning, and quality control. Tiffany is looking to expand her expertise in Marketing and Strategy and chose UT Dallas MBA for her dual degree program.
