I joined GFMC last year and I got a strong sense of belonging here, because it offered me with a great platform to interact with fellow students, get to know better about this Finance program and learn from finance professionals through workshops and roundtable events, etc. That’s why I am so looking forward to working with this outstanding group of people to better equip prospective and current students with experience and insights. In addition, as a FRM charter holder, I’d also love to serve as a mentor, especially for those who want to pursue a career in risk management area.

GFMC is focused on the needs and interests of graduate finance students. Events organized by GFMC do a splendid job at facilitating a well-rounded graduate school experience. I have a strong desire to provide as much support as I can to help prospective and current students seamlessly navigate their journey at UTD. With over 5 years of professional experience and a CFA charter, I also hope to solve any questions students have about the CFA program and professional networking.

Being the second semester in GFMC, GFMC is a best connection between students and industry, which can give students more opportunities to get in touch with industry’s trend and views. What’s more, as an official organization of Finance Program, GFMC has the power of assembling students and alumni, which could build a bridge between experienced alumni and students for sharing their advice and make a closer connection. The experience in GFMC inspire me to try my best to contribute my passion and effort to the development of GFMC.

When I came here in Fall 2019, I was clueless about most things related to the curriculum and the practical challenges faced by us finance students. In those times it was GFMC team which helped me and many other students like me out. I would like to do the same for my peers by keeping that legacy going. Experiencing the life here at UTD has enriched me with insights that I would like to pass on to my peers. This is a way in which our small but strong and tightly knit community of finance students can grow at UTD.

My role as an ambassador at Graduate Finance Management Council (GMFC) provides me a platform which enables me to share my experience and knowledge gathered so far in the MS-Finance program to guide and help current, new and prospective finance students in UTD. I am pleased to be a part of GMFC, our team is driven to provide any required support and resources by way of organizing interactive sessions and events for students which help us evolve personally in the process.

GFMC brings plenty of available resources, offers current and prospective student opportunities, and helps students with questions both on academic and life. It’s a great pleasure for me to be one of the GFMC team and I’m ready to help others out with my passion. GFMC accepts not only Finance graduate students but also welcome non-Finance students to join us. I highly recommend this wonderful organization and I’m looking forward to meeting newcomers.
