“As finance and risk professionals, it is of foremost importance that we understand the impact of our work on the global economy. FERM has taught me exactly this, in a multicultural collaborative classroom environment. The program is well structured, that by the end of 2 semesters I had all ammunitions to take on the Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) certification exam conducted by Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). We also had industry exposures through regular seminar sessions and were kept abreast on emerging technologies like Blockchain through conferences like the EmTech Summit. As a complement to my studies, I also had the opportunity to take up a leadership role at JSOM Dean’s Council. With immense support and motivation from the program directors, and a diversified course structure, the program has proved to be a stepping stone to re-launch my career.”

“I would like to express my gratitude to the FERM program. I’m glad that I chose MS FERM as my second master program. As a student with a computer science background, this program teaches me all the necessary financial knowledge and applications, improves my business communication skills, and prepares me well for job interviews. As a result, I successfully had my career change and secured an internship position as a quantitative analyst at Comerica through an on-campus interview which was arranged by the FERM program. Other than the curriculum, we go through training workshops that help international students acclimate to the U.S. business culture. In addition, the program arranges many networking sessions that enable me to build connections with industry professionals and expand my professional network.”

“I was looking for a masters program that would mesh with my Finance and IT background, so I chose FERM. The curriculum is structured in a way that it opens different avenues in finance like risk management, financial data analytics, quantitative analyst etc. The unique part of the program is that it is aligned with emerging technologies like block chain. The program also sponsors students to attend professional conferences like the EmTech Summit, IBM/CFSI blockchain event. They organize roundtable discussions weekly seminar sessions that allow students to have one-on-one interactions with industry professionals. During our summer term, we were given opportunity to work on real world corporate projects which gave us a preview of what we could expect in our future careers. The program directors are always ready to help students, be it arranging mock interviews, doing resume critique or organizing workshops to help students improve their communication skills. If you are looking for a program with a more quantitative approach to finance, I would recommend FERM.”
