The Global Leadership Executive MBA (GLEMBA) program emphasizes international skills, business operations and transformative leadership. Courses are taught and experiences are provided to working professionals to gain the skills and knowledge needed to assume global leadership responsibilities. The Global Leadership Executive MBA program at The University of Texas at Dallas is designed to prepare students for management and leadership positions in business enterprises. The program design places an emphasis on executive skill development, quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques and the knowledge and professional capabilities necessary to succeed in today’s complex business environment.

The University of Texas at Dallas offers a Global Leadership Executive MBA (GLEMBA) program to enable you to:

Candidates for GLEMBA are high-potential managers and executives currently in or moving into senior positions with a minimum of eight years experience. (If you do not have international or managerial experience, you will need ten years of experience.)

The GLEMBA program requires satisfactory completion of 29 business core credit hours and 24 global credit hours.

The delivery of the course begins with an on campus retreat each semester with the remaining curriculum being delivered online though web conferences, recorded lectures, discussion boards, etc.

Tuition includes an international retreat and an international study tour (excluding airfare).

Acceptance into the Global Leadership Executive MBA program is not automatic. Our admissions committee focuses on selecting candidates who can best complete the rigorous program and contribute to class diversity and quality.


  • Eight years or more of professional business experience with international and management experience (ten years without international or management experience.)
  • Completed four-year bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 3.0 or better from an accredited institution
  • Professional resume and a written personal essay as described in the application form
  • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended.
  • Ability to write and speak English (all courses are taught in English)
  • A successful interview with the Program Director and Academic Director
  • 3 letters of recommendations
  • Employer Agreement (courtesy letter informing employer of your plans to enroll in the GLEMBA program)
  • The Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) is not required.

The UT Dallas Global Leadership Executive MBA program offers you the best value per credit hour in the north Texas region. Our 53 credit hour program is the most robust in the region. Our program includes a 10-day international study tour, one international retreat, three retreats held on-campus in addition to an engaging, relevant and quality educational experience.

The total investment for the Global Leadership Executive MBA program is $75,000 and includes:


  • Tuition is payable in five installments of $15,000 before the start of each semester.

Executive Coaching

  • Students may receive up to three one-hour sessions with a Certified Career Coach.

Course Materials

  • Access to the courseware and web conferencing systems.

International Study Tour

  • Hotel accommodations in a 4 or 5 star hotel with single room
  • Ground transportation within countries
  • Welcome and farewell dinner, breakfast and lunch
  • Airfare between cities in country

International Retreat

  • Hotel accommodations in a 4 or 5 star hotel with single room
  • Ground transportation within countries
  • Welcome and farewell dinner, breakfast and lunch
  • Airfare between cities in country

On-campus Retreats

  • Continental breakfast and lunch.

Note: Students are required to pay for their international flights to and from the international study tour location.

Financial Aid

GLEMBA students needing financial assistance may apply for long-term student loans. More information is available via the UT Dallas Financial Aid Office or by contacting the Executive Education Financial Services Manager, Paula Baxter.
