Joint Academe-Mobility (JAM)

In 2020, together with the leaders of the global mobility industry, the Center for Global Business launched a program titled Joint Academe-Mobility (JAM). JAM is a series of events that includes webinars, seminars, and career fairs dedicated to promoting the field of global mobility to UT Dallas’ students. To date, we have delivered several successful events that brought the ecosystem of global mobility companies to share their knowledge with our students. Relocation companies, consulting companies, training companies, moving companies, and tax and law firms discuss current trends, opportunities, and challenges within the industry and promote internships and full-time positions to our students. Company representatives also volunteer their time to mentor, coach, and prepare our students for final presentations of the global mobility competition. The JAM program is supported by our Global Mobility Club (GMC), a student organization whose mission is to prepare students for global careers. Please contact Hubert Zydorek (Hubert.Zydorek@utdallas.edu) if you would like to join future JAM events.

Student Testimonials

Timothy Pan, FLP’19

Software Engineer, OTSO FINTECH

Future Leaders Program is more than broadening our horizons and experiencing American culture. It’s arguably a life-inspiring journey.

We did an incredible aptitude test digging into our leadership style to know ourselves better; we were trained to swiftly organize our thoughts and bravely deliver speeches to 80+ people; we also mastered our resume writing skills during lectures and had great inspirations with several prominent entrepreneurs and business managers.

This leadership program is certainly one of the most educational and enlightening courses to the best of my recollection.

Uvin Chuan, FLP 21

The program equipped you with a globalized vision, international networking, and empathy for the local issue to pursue your goal as a leader.

During the program, I enjoyed having discussions with the speakers and teammates as everyone held diverse views on the topics. I was able to build connections with them and learn from them thanks to the program. Therefore, I recommend all talents for signing up for this program.
