JSOM Career Management Center Goes Virtual

by - April 3rd, 2020 - Career Management Center, College Knowledge

The office of the Career Management Center (CMC) is a special place for students here at the Naveen Jindal School of Management (JSOM). From the open-concept architecture welcoming all Comets to the caring and friendly faces, this place is a pillar of professional support for all. Here, students find valuable resources and guidance from the experts to develop and flourish in the professional world. The CMC puts the pieces of the puzzle together, where real-life joins academics.

You can count on JSOM and the CMC to continue with this endeavor, even during these difficult times. We work passionately to continue to offer resources and connections to the professional and corporate world.

Let’s listen to CMC Assistant Dean and Director Tom Kim:

Hi Comets, this is Tom Kim, assistant dean for the Career Management Center. During these uncertain times, I want to assure you, that the JSOM Career Management Center is here to support you. One of the ways we’ve done this is moving everything to virtual, so our events, workshops, walk-in hours, internships, employer engagements and non-campus interviews, all have been moved to virtual.

Registration to workshops and events

How do you register? How do you apply for some of these? It’s easy, just go to your email. Email us, give us a call, or you can register through handshake also. You’ll be provided a link where you can engage with us through WebEx, Zoom or even eLearning.

Hours

Our hours are still the same we’re here to serve you. So, Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. till 5:30 p.m. and on Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. we’ll be available for you virtually.

Reach Out!

Please reach out to us and we’ll do everything that we can to answer your questions or help with advice or professional learning and once again, we hope that all these changes will not be hard for you to get, but if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We want you to stay safe, we want you to stay knowledgeable of what’s going on, and we also want you to engage with us. So, stay safe and we look forward to working with you.
