Aaron works for SystemID in Plano, Texas, in the automatic data capture market and is responsible for more than 300 clients, driving toward a $1.5M quota. He received SystemID’s Top Sales Performer award in Q1 2014 and Top Sales Associate award in Q3 2013. He also was inducted into an internal brand Champion Club in 2014 by exceeding expectations and driving growth in an internal product line. Aaron graduated from North Central University in Minneapolis with an undergraduate degree in cross-cultural communications and earned a Global Leadership Executive MBA from the Jindal School in May.

Abhi Biswas

Abhi Biswas

Abhi Biswas has a diverse background delivering numerous marketing management courses for MBA and EMBA programs over the past 20 years at Purdue University, Southern Methodist University, and at UTD. The courses that he teaches include, Principles of Marketing, Advertising and Promotions Management, Consumer Behavior and Brand Management. He has also developed and taught the capstone Marketing Strategy course, Pricing Management, Marketing Research, Product Management and International Marketing.

Atanas Hansen is a senior associate at New York Life who earned his BS in Software Engineering and MS in Information Technology and Management. He was actively involved on campus throughout his college career as a member of the table tennis team, MIS and math clubs and as an undergraduate tutor employed by the School of Interdisciplinary Studies. Atanas’ primary job responsibilities have focused on requirements engineering, quality assurance and, most recently, data governance. He plans to pursue an MBA at the Jindal School in the part-time program starting in fall 2017.

Brett Snyder is currently heading up a change management team as assistant vice president at J.P. Morgan Chase. He is responsible for overseeing nearly 200 user-developed Visual Basic Applications (VBA) tools, including maintenance and development. Brett received his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently pursuing his executive MBA at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Clint Peinhardt is Associate Professor at The University of Texas at Dallas. His research investigates treaty formation and its effects, as well as the broader politics of investment disputes, and he teaches Global Politics in Business in the GLEMBA program.

Corina Cantua is the director of the Academic Advising Office at JSOM. She graduated from UT Dallas in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and earned her master’s in sociology in 2008. She begin working at UT Dallas as an undergraduate recruiter, then moved to JSOM to become the academic advisor for online MBA students.

David Springate

David Springate is the director and co-founder of the Center for Finance Strategy & Innovation. He also is the academic director and founder of JSOM’s executive education programs. A finance faculty member, the courses that he teaches feature valuation, corporate strategy and finance. He developed the school’s graduate courses in private equity and corporate renewal.

Dr. Widdifield, is a senior supply chain management academician and practitioner with a combined 25 years of supply chain experience. Additionally, Professor Widdifield holds 18 years of industry experience in the business to business (B2B) and consumer (B2C) retail segments of consumer package goods in the apparel, footwear, and grocery categories.

Dawn Owens is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Dallas. She works in the Jindal School of Management teaching various Information Systems courses and is also the Program Director for their Undergraduate degree program, Information Technology and Systems. Her most recent accomplishments include changing the degree program to a STEM designated degree and updating the curriculum to include more technical rigor for students. She was also instrumental in implementing an AIS Student Chapter on campus for the undergraduate ITS students.

Dr. Diane Seay McNulty has been teaching at the Jindal School since 1987. She has served in a variety of administrative roles, too, including academic advisor before there was an advising office, and college master, the forerunner of the undergraduate dean’s position. Donna Steph Rian is a local freelance writer who is a frequent contributor to JSOM publications. Her credits include having served as a business reporter and retailing columnist for The Dallas Morning News, media manager and senior writer for UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a senior public relations specialist for Texas Health Resources. She wrote about JSOM's healthcare management programs in the most recent issues of Management magazine.

Farah is a Marketing major at UT Dallas with a sales concentration, she is also the VP of Marketing on the UTD Sales board. Her passions are sales, fashion, makeup and travelling.

Gaurav is a Senior Lecturer in the Information Systems area. He is also the Program Manager for the Masters in Information Technology and Management program at UT Dallas, a program he is an alum of. He enjoys working with students and works with them across academic and non-academic areas. He has been instrumental in setting up student and corporate engagement programs at UT Dallas. He is one big believer in the concept of Servant Leadership which is the base of most of his initiatives. He is open to new ideas and feels that empowering the students is a great way to serve the school and the university. He heads the Toastmasters District in North Eastern Texas, which has a strong presence in the School.

An associate professor of accounting, Gil Sadka joined UT Dallas in July 2014. He serves as coordinator of Jindal School PhD students earning an accounting concentration. His accounting research focuses primarily on equity valuation. He examines the role of earnings and earnings predictability in generating stock-price volatility and the implications for asset prices. He earned his MBA and PhD from University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2005.

Holly Rio is the events director on the External Affairs team at the Jindal School, responsible for planning a variety of development and corporate engagement events, including the JSOM signature annual Scholarship Breakfast fundraiser and the dean’s advisory council meetings. Prior to coming to Dallas, Rio lived in the Raleigh/Durham area, where she worked in fundraising at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and in communications at UNC-TV.

Hua is an MS Marketing and Information Technology and Management student at the Naveen Jindal School of Management. She is a student worker in the JSOM Development and Alumni Relations Office and Vice President of Friendship Association of Chinese Students and Scholars at UT Dallas (FACSS-UTD). Hua helped launch the Jindal WeChat account and manages it day-to-day. She was a finalist for the 2016 UT Dallas Student Employee of the Year Award.

Hunter Jarvis was recently promoted to a national account manager for Dallas-based Dean Foods, specializing in broad-line distributors in the foodservice sector. He has spent his entire professional career at Dean Foods, in increasingly progressive positions. After receiving an undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University, Hunter is pursuing his executive MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Jacqueline “Jackie” Schmitz is an Administrative Services Officer in the Jindal School’s External Relations Department. She is seeking a second term on staff council. Jackie has spent her UTD career within JSOM and is currently in an administrative person in the Dean’s Suite. She graduated from UNT with a degree in journalism/public relations. In her spare time, Jackie enjoys attending live concerts, taking care of her cat, Chester, social media and when she can, she scuba dives. She earned her Master Diver Certification in 2012.

Jeremy Vickers is the executive director of the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, where he leads a team focused on cross-campus startup activity and entrepreneurship curriculum. Prior to his arrival at UT Dallas, Jeremy was at the Dallas Regional Chamber from 2011 to 2015 as the vice president of innovation. He led strategy and program implementation to support building the North Texas innovation ecosystem.

Jimmie Markham brings a widely-ranging life and professional experience to his job as a communications manager at JSOM.  As an infantryman in the U.S. Army, he learned to “improvise, adapt and overcome” and that “no battle plan survives first contact with the enemy.”  He’s been dealing with the unexpected ever since and, in doing so, has become a skilled and dedicated communications/marketing/customer-service and sales-support professional with nearly 20 years of experience using improvisational, critical-thinking, technical and people skills to advance the interests of external and internal clients. A BA in Art & Performance (creative writing emphasis) from UT Dallas helped polish his natural predilection and passion for the written word.

I joined JSOM at UT Dallas as an adjunct faculty member in fall 2014 and became full time as the director of the M.S. in Business Analytics program in June 2016. I have taught several undergrad and graduate courses since then, but I enjoy teaching MIS 6309, Business Data Warehousing, the most. I have a passion for teaching and I love interacting with students. I used both these reasons to convince myself to take a pay cut and join academia full time.

Katie Boyle is the staff executive to the president of one of the Raytheon business units. This role requires her to work closely with the leadership across the corporation. Prior to this position, Katie worked as a strategic planner in business development, leading the market assessments; competitor assessments; business unit portfolios; strength, weakness, opportunity and threat analyses, and international and mission area strategies. She also supported the strategic advisory board. Katie spent more than five years developing proposals across Raytheon’s customer base. She received her undergraduate degree in history and political sciences from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, her Master of Arts from the American Military University, and she is pursuing her MBA at the Jindal School of Management.

Keith Thurgood is a clinical professor of healthcare leadership and management at the Jindal School, where he also leads the executive MS program in healthcare leadership and management and is an adjunct professor of marketing and entrepreneurship. In addition to his responsibilities at UT Dallas, Dr. Thurgood is a faculty member and senior advisor for the Thayer Leader Development Group in West Point, New York, and a retired Army major general.

Kiran is the co-founder of TraceIT, Inc. and specializes in mobile, remote and offsite workforce management. Leveraging the bring-your-own-device business model, TraceIT helps small to medium-size businesses locate their assets in real time, reducing manual workload and increasing efficiencies. TraceIT recently won the coveted UT Dallas Business Idea Competition. Kiran also is the founder and owner of Portable Climate Control, Inc. (PCC Inc). PCC Inc. manufactures and sells air conditioners, heaters and heat exchangers for applications such as light aircraft, semi trucks, buses, recreational vehicles and boats. Kiran earned his undergraduate degree in business administration from Centenary College in Hackettstown, New Jersey. He is pursuing an executive MBA in the Jindal School at The University of Texas at Dallas.

Dr. Larry Chasteen teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses in strategy and entrepreneurship and uses simulations to bring a practical emphasis to these courses. His research concerns evolving technical communities and online education. He was a Fulbright Professor to Germany in 2006 and served as a Science and Engineering Advisor at the US State Department in 2008. He also worked in the defense industry for Texas Instruments and Raytheon specializing in radar and smart weapons.

Lisa Klugiewicz is a programmatic media specialist responsible for the oversight of buying across all media channels within the U.S. and Canada. She uses Southwest Media Group’s (SMG) overall digital marketing strategy and seeks to maximize total programmatic return on investment. She also evaluates emerging opportunities and their relevance to SMG’s business and objectives while partnering closely with creative and product teams to develop campaigns that are optimally poised for success. Lisa also has seven years’ experience in international logistics. She provided strategic thought leadership on process, strategies and the establishment of strong relationships with worldwide clients and partners. She is a 2005 graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in international business and is pursuing her MBA at the Jindal School.

Dr. Mehmet Ayvaci, Associate Professor of Information Systems, has taught healthcare analytics and information systems at UTD for various years. He has published a number of research articles in medicine, informatics, and management. Dr. Ayvaci wants to pass on the advice Steve Jobs gave at his Stanford University commencement ceremony: “Stay hungry, stay foolish.”

Monica Brussolo is an economist and an operations management professor, director of the BS in Supply Chain Management program. She has worked in the industry, but left it to pursue her passion: teaching. She enjoys the interaction with students, and seeing students achieve their dreams. Under her mentorship, INFORMS at UTD, a student organization, has earned three national awards as one of the most active student chapters in North America.

Monica S. Powell, PhD, is the associate dean of Graduate Programs for the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas. In her role as the associate dean, Dr. Powell is responsible for 4,000 graduate students in 15 academic degree programs as well as the school’s Career Management Center and Recruiting Department. Dr. Powell teaches both undergraduate and graduate students. Dr. Powell has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in communications from the University of Alabama, and a PhD in higher education with a minor in communications from the University of North Texas.

Naomi D’Amato is a junior in the Professional Program in Accounting at The University of Texas at Dallas completing minors in political science and performing arts. She is part of DMHP, active in Collegium V and serves as an officer for the Golden Key Honor society. Last year Naomi was sponsored to study abroad at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. During the summer, Naomi enjoys performing violin and leading fundraisers for Living with Neurofibromatosis.

Neil Kier

Neil Kier

Kier is the director of finance and accounting at TraceIT, Inc., specializing in mobile, remote and offsite workforce management. TraceIT won first place in the Graduate Division of the 2015 UT Dallas Business Idea Competition. Prior to joining TraceIT, Neil served as finance manager of the Americas for CBRE Data Center Solutions Group (DCSG), a U.K.-based wholly owned subsidiary of CBRE Group, Inc., U.S. He began his career on Wall Street working as an investment adviser for Charles Schwab. In later years, Neil transitioned his career to public accounting as an auditor, then to corporate finance and accounting. He received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Colorado and is pursuing his executive MBA in the Naveen Jindal School of Management.

Noah is a Freshman undergraduate Supply Chain Management student. He is involved in the Supply Chain Leadership Council and many other clubs and organizations on campus. 

Pamela Foster Brady

Pamela Foster Brady

Pamela serves as the director of Executive MBA programs at UT Dallas. She previously served as a vice president, senior business development director, for Atkins, an international civil engineering firm. She has more than 25 years of experience managing large domestic and international projects. Pamela received her undergraduate degree in civil engineering from the University of Tennessee and her MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas.

Ramesh Subramoniam

Ramesh Subramoniam

Ramesh Subramoniam, PhD is a Clinical Associate Professor of Operations Management and faculty advisor for APICS at the University of Texas, Dallas. He worked in the Supply Chain industry and consulting for 27+ years. He also led supply chain teams for GM, Amazon, Verizon and FTI Consulting before he joined UT Dallas as a full time faculty in 2018. Dr. Subramoniam had the opportunity to work with all phases of the product life cycle such as design, prototype, manufacturing, aftermarket and returns operations.

Ray Yewle is a graduate student of Supply Chain Management at the Naveen Jindal School of Management. She previously worked as a Supplier and Inventory Control Manager at Swift in Mumbai, India. On campus, she's a teaching assistant for the JSOM Math/Statistics lab and the communications officer for the Supply Chain Leadership Council. Also a salsa dancer, she is deeply passionate about the performing arts.

Rich Cook

Rich Cook, assistant controller for Greenbrier Development, is responsible for client invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and forecasting. He has more than 10 years of experience in providing financial support on large domestic and international projects. He also spent more than a year working in Russia on an oil refinery and petrochemical project, which is now the largest refinery in Europe. Rich received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Central Washington. He is pursuing an executive MBA at the Jindal School.

Richard is a Supply Chain Management student and an accomplished, highly motivated veteran, with over a decade of expertise in administrative management, leadership, and customer service. He joined UT Dallas Jindal School to continue with his education and has quickly gained recognition among his peers. He has also taken leadership roles; he proudly holds an officer position at INFORMS and I was elected as President of APICS for the upcoming academic year.

As an account executive, Sarah Colmark manages accounts and is responsible for over $500K in revenue generation for public media in North Texas. As a member of the corporate sponsorship team for KERA FM, KERA TV and KXT FM, this requires identifying potential corporate sponsors; developing relationships; and meeting company’s marketing objectives using public media.  


Prior to this position, Sarah served as the general manager of WRR 101.1 FM, the classical radio station owned by the City of Dallas, and as station manager of Classical 95.5 KHFM, the classical broadcaster for Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. She has over 10 years of business experience managing radio stations; setting programming strategy; directing sales efforts; and developing brand position in the media market.  


Sarah received her undergraduate degree in piano performance from the University of Cincinnati – College Conservatory of Music and received a professional certificate from the Conservatoire Nationale de Region – Perpignan, France. She is currently pursuing her executive MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas.

Dr. Scott Janke is director of the STEM-designated MS in Management Science program at The University of Texas at Dallas and a member of the Jindal School’s Operations Management Area faculty. Scott has more than 27 years of experience in consulting and operations in multiple industries, including information technology, marketing, the public sector, telecommunications and corporate real estate. Scott earned his PhD in Organization and Management, with a specialization in information technology management, from Capella University. He received his MBA in management and marketing from the University of North Texas, and his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing from Southwest Texas State University. Scott is certified by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional and an Agile Certified Practitioner. He is the author of “Business Intelligence within Commercial Real Estate: An Application of the Motivation and Acceptance Model.”

In this role, she creates and manages programs and events for UTD students, faculty and staff interested in entrepreneurship and turning their ideas into reality. In addition to being an adjunct professor, Tooran is engaged in project and portfolio management for public and private organizations providing consulting, training and workshops. Tooran is a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas, certified project manager professional (PMP), LEED-AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design professional) and certified ISO lead auditor. She has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of London, England; a master’s degree environmental management from the University of Denver, CO, and is currently pursuing her executive MBA at The University of Texas at Dallas.

Tyrone Taylor is an established professional in the amusement park industry. He has spent the past 21 years working for Six Flags Entertainment Corporation at Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor, located in Arlington, Texas. Tyrone currently serves in the role of administration director and oversees human resources, training and development, recruitment, labor relations and risk management. Tyrone received his undergraduate degree in business administration from The University of Texas at Arlington and is an active certified professional in human resources. He is pursuing his executive MBA at the Jindal School.

Veronica has more than 10 years of industry and risk advisory experience in providing services to a broad range of domestic, global, private and public companies primarily in the consumer products, healthcare, and oil and gas industries. She has experience in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, FCPA, financial audits and operational audits. Prior to working at BDO USA, LLP, she was an advanced auditor in the Global Internal Audit Department at Kimberly-Clark Corporation, where she was responsible for testing design and effectiveness of internal controls to provide assurance to the management team on the company’s financial controls. Veronica earned her undergraduate degree in industrial engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez and is pursuing an executive MBA in the Naveen Jindal School of Management.
