Two types of scholarships are available for the Full-Time MBA Program–Cohort and Corporate. Both scholarships are merit based and will be determined along with your admission decision. To be considered, applicants are encouraged to apply by March 1, but scholarships may still be available after that date. In addition to scholarships, students may apply for financial aid through the UT Dallas Financial Aid Office.

Accepted applicants compete for full and partial academic scholarships and teaching assistantships. Your scholarship package may consist of one or more of the above forms of assistance. In recent years, 75 percent of our incoming class was awarded some form of scholarship based on merit. Out-of-state scholarship recipients may receive a waiver for resident tuition rates. Last year’s class received an average award of approximately 50% of the total 16 month program cost.

In addition, the UT Dallas Office of Financial Aid works closely with all admitted students who have completed a financial aid application and who may be eligible for loans, grants or a combination of the two, based on need. Short-term loan programs are available for international students as well.

GMAT and GRE prep course scholarships are also available for those who apply in Rounds 1 and 2. Please contact the MBA Programs Office for more information.

Scholarships – Professional MBA

The Naveen Jindal School of Management awards some merit-based scholarships to new and continuing Professional MBA students in Fall and Spring semesters. Please be aware that Professional MBA candidates must submit a GMAT or GRE score to be eligible for new student scholarships in the Jindal School. You must have official GMAT/GRE exam scores sent to UT Dallas by the scholarship application deadline to be awarded scholarship. Each scholarship may have specific requirements based on the purpose of the scholarship; however, the JSOM Graduate Scholarship Committee will consider applicants for all available scholarships. Continuing students are eligible to apply for scholarship after two long semesters. Visit the JSOM scholarships page to view the requirements and apply. Students are not considered automatically for scholarship awards and must apply online to be considered by the JSOM graduate scholarship committee. You must be admitted prior to applying for scholarship. JSOM scholarships have very specific deadlines (Fall deadline: May 20th, Spring deadline: December 5th).

Please visit UT Dallas Tuition Plans for the most up-to-date tuition and fee information.

The guaranteed tuition plan locks in your rate for 4-years (12 consecutive semesters). The rates under this plan are higher than a traditional plan in the first year because they are based on the projected average of tuition rates over the next four years. Rates in the variable tuition plan are lower than the guaranteed plan in the first year but are subject to annual rate changes. New incoming students will be defaulted into the variable tuition rate plan, but will have the option to enroll in the guaranteed tuition rate plan.

Below shows an example of estimated variable tuition (this should only be used as a guide). Scholarship recipients may pay the in-state tuition rate. Please contact the MBA office with questions.

  • Log-in to Orion to accept or decline admission in the Student Center section
  • All Flex candidates submit payment of the $100 seat fee to reserve their seat in our class
    • The seat fee does not function as a deposit against tuition. It is a programming fee to pay for networking events, site visits and professional development sessions.
  • Online Candidates – There is no seat fee associate with this program as students already pay a distance learning fee. You can accept or decline admission up until school begins. However, this is not recommended as the system can take 24-48 hours for you to matriculate which then allows you to meet with an advisor and register for classes.
  • Review your Hold and To-Do List in Orion for any outstanding documents, required orientations, and new student holds.
  • Advising
    • Evening Cohort students will be advised during orientation. Your new student hold will be removed by our office prior to registration.
    • Flex/Online MBA students need to set up an appointment with the Advising Office to have your new student hold removed.
  • Attend orientation – You will receive additional information regarding orientation closer to your term of entry.
  • Please e-mail mba@utdallas.edu with any questions or concerns.
