Transfers, Waivers and Advising Forms
Waivers of Core Courses
Waivers of program core requirements may be granted in recognition of previous coursework completed with a grade of B or better within the past six years in a specific business program area. This allows a student to skip a core course in their degree plan and take a higher-level course in the same academic area meeting the core requirement with no reduction in the program credit-hour requirements. Up to 9 hours of coursework from other universities may be waived from any Master of Science Program’s core courses in the School of Management. Up to 12 hours of coursework from other universities may be used to waive core courses in the Professional MBA degree program.
Transfer of Graduate Credit Hours
Transfer credits may be granted for equivalent graduate coursework taken at other universities with a grade of B or better within the past six years. Up to 9 credit hours of coursework from other universities may be transferred into any Master of Science in the School of Management. Up to 12 credit hours of coursework from other universities may be used to transfer credit to the Professional MBA degree program. The Full-Time MBA program only allows 6 elective credit hours to be transferred into its program.
Form Instructions
The forms listed below are unique to the Jindal School of Management. Students must submit completed forms to the Advising Office on the second floor (may also Fax 972-883-6425).

| Add, Drop Form | This form is to register, add, drop and withdrawal a course. |
| Deferment Form | This form is to defer an enrollment to another semester, up to one year. |
| Independent Study Application Form | This form is to register for an independent study with a specific professor. |
| Graduate Change of Program Request Form | This form is used to change a program (major) and must be completed by degree-seeking students wishing to change their majors. Please note the change of major form can not be used to add a second degree; a separate admissions application must be submitted. |
| Undergraduate Change of Major/Minor Request Form | This form is used to change an undergraduate program (major or minor) and must be completed by degree-seeking students wishing to change their majors. Please note the change of major form can not be used to add a second degree; a separate admissions application must be submitted. |
| Pre-Approval Request Form | This form is used to pre-approve coursework at another university that will be used to satisfy graduation requirements. A number of restrictions apply; please review the instructions on the form. |
| Recommendation Form | This form is to recommend students to a specific program. |
| Transfer Credit Request Form | All transfer credit requests must be completed within the student’s first year of admission into the degree program. No transfer request forms will be accepted for review for non-degree seeking students. |
| Wavier Request Form | All waiver credit requests must be completed within the student’s first year of admission into the degree program. No wavier request forms will be accepted for review for non-degree seeking students. |
