JSOM student Teresa Tran profiled in AICPA video

Teresa-Tran

Naveen Jindal School of Management accounting and finance double-major Teresa Tran is featured in a video profile on Start Here, Go Places, a student website of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

AICPA picked Teresa to interview after she and three JSOM teammates won third place in the institute’s annual national case competition for college students. Highly Debticated, the Jindal School foursome, won $2,500 in that 2011 contest. The previous year, another JSOM team of four earned first place in the inaugural 2010 AICPA competition.

A video crew came to campus in February to interview Teresa.

“Accounting is honestly the most stable form of business there really is. There’s always going to be a need for accounting,” Teresa says in her profile.

It and others posted to the site are meant to introduce high school students to the field and show them career and college options.
