Message from the Dean

Welcome to The University of Texas at Dallas Naveen Jindal School of Management website.

The Jindal School offers more than 35 degree programs at the undergraduate, master’s and PhD levels. We have more than 6,800 students and more than 220 faculty members.

The school has achieved top standing as one of the foremost public business schools in the nation. Various academic programs — including the Executive MBA, Full-Time MBA, Professional (Part-Time) MBA and Management Information Systems — are highly ranked by Bloomberg Businessweek, Financial Times and U.S. News & World Report. The school has earned these distinctions by offering relevant, rigorous curriculums developed by exemplary teachers and leading researchers. Our faculty, staff, students and facilities all contribute to our superior learning environment.

The school was created in 1975, following the establishment of The University of Texas at Dallas in 1969. The three visionary founders of Texas Instruments sparked the university’s creation by launching a research center in 1961. The school is named for an MBA graduate, Naveen Jindal, in recognition of his generous giving.

The Jindal School enjoys enthusiastic backing from alumni, businesses, professional associations and the community. The school also benefits from its location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, a center of industry and trade that places a high value on ingenuity and entrepreneurship.

Our outstanding faculty members bring a wealth of intellectual capital. UT Dallas enthusiastically encourages and supports their scholarly inquiry and innovative teaching. Jindal School researchers’ productivity is exceptional, both in quantity and in groundbreaking quality. Financial Times ranks our faculty 18th in the world, based on publications in the leading business journals. New discoveries, along with faculty members’ expertise, inform our academic programs at every level.

Drawn by the Jindal School’s energy and pursuit of excellence, the student body encompasses a diverse community united in its drive not only to learn the tools and methods of success but also to attain the foundations of long-term growth.

I invite you to learn more about the school, read our Mission Statement, review our rankings and visit our Web pages.
