Congratulations, Tech Titans Finalists!

Bryan Chambers, program director of Blackstone LaunchPad, the campus-based entrepreneurship program at UT Dallas, has been named a finalist for a 2017 Tech Titans Award in the Tech Titans of the Future University Level category.

The Tech Titans Awards recognize companies and people who make significant contributions to further the technology sector in North Texas. Other categories are:

  • Emerging Company Innovation
  • Emerging Company CEO
  • Corporate CIO
  • Corporate CTO
  • Technology Adopter
  • Technology Inventor
  • Investment Catalyst
  • Technology Advocate
  • Tech Titans of the Future High School Math/Science Teacher

Finalists are invited to attend the annual gala at which the award winners are announced. The event this year will be held Aug. 25 at Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel.

Last spring, Chambers oversaw the grand opening of Blackstone LaunchPad, which is geared to support and mentor UT Dallas community members as they attempt to realize new business ideas and ventures.

Other finalists from UT Dallas are Dr. Magaly Spector, coordinator of the Young Women in Science and Engineering Investigators program, who is in the same category as Chambers; and Dr. Robert Gregg, assistant professor of bioengineering and mechanical engineering, a finalist in the Technology Inventor category.
