We are pleased to present the Spring 2012 Management Information Systems Newsletter from the Information Systems area of UT Dallas. One recent significant event and a major milestone for the management school was its naming as the Naveen Jindal School of Management. The Jindal School’s MBA programs (full-time and part-time) have continued to climb in the recently released U.S. News & World Report annual rankings. The graduate MIS program ranked No. 19 in the same list. We hosted the Tenth Annual Big XII+ MIS Research Symposium in April. We continue to expand our curriculum in response to industry needs. Expansion highlights this semester include the development of a graduate healthcare IT certificate program and a new course, Information and Knowledge Management in Healthcare, which introduces students to EPIC, a market-leading EMR software. We have been hearing about accomplishments of alumni in their workplaces, and we have highlighted one such story here. We are also happy to share news about one of our undergraduate students receiving one of the competitive scholarships that SAP America awards every year.
