The Jindal School will soon break ground on a $25 million, 110,000 square-foot addition to be completed in 2014.
The new facility will give students more places to learn and faculty new space for discovery, a meeting area for student organizations, a high-tech trading lab and a sales lab equipped the newest audio, video and computer technology so that students can practice and get immediate feedback on their presentations.
The JSOM Career Management Center will move into a 4,000 square-foot space with multiple interview rooms, and three new Executive MBA classrooms are planned, too.
Naming opportunities are available and may be fulfilled through pledges over a period of up to five years. Donors may choose to permanently endow their gift for long-term support of the Jindal School and its programs, or they may allow their gift to be fully expended.
JSOM Career Management Center - multiple options
Boasting a multipurpose space, 15 interview rooms, a recruiter lounge and a central reception lobby, the new career management center will continue to provide a wide range of services to students and employers. Naming opportunities exist for the entire center as well as the highly visible spaces within.
Financial Trading Room - $1,000,000
By virtue of its prominence and location on the first floor, the trading room will be seen by all visitors. This high-tech lab simulates a trading-room environment, allowing students to experience the workings of the financial world. It will feature dozens of workstations with access to real-time and delayed market feeds.
Professional Sales Lab - $750,000
This lab integrates video, audio and computer technology to allow students to participate in real-world sales simulations.
Courtyard - $750,000
Strategically located between the existing building and the new addition, this open-air courtyard will be a perfect gathering spot between classes.
Classrooms - $100,000
The facility will house three executive education classrooms and nine general classrooms for day-to-day instructional activities. Classrooms are all equipped with the latest instructional technology.
Meeting Rooms - $50,000
Located on both the first and fourth floors, meeting rooms are used for alumni visits, student group work sessions, faculty sessions and more.
Student Lounges - $50,000
An Honors Lounge and an Undergraduate Lounge will provide a comfortable gathering spot for networking, studying and conversation.
Faculty Offices - $15,000
Faculty offices provide excellent naming opportunities for individuals and corporations.
Additional naming opportunities, including the naming of the entire building, are available. All naming opportunities require a formal gift agreement and are subject to UT Dallas naming policies.
