Graduate Scholarships

The Naveen Jindal School of Management awards some merit-based scholarships to graduate students in both the fall and spring semesters. Each scholarship may have specific requirements based on the purpose of the scholarship, including: academic performance, time to graduation, area of study, residency status, community service and level of campus involvement. We will consider students for any scholarship that is currently funded and for which they qualify.

Important Note

Beginning with the Fall 2012 semester, current students applying for either the Dean’s Excellence or IMPACT scholarships must have completed at least two long (fall or spring) semesters of graduate course work and at least 12 credit hours in the Jindal School of Management.

Our school has an officially appointed Scholarship Committee that reviews applications and, depending on the availability of funds, makes awards to the candidates who best satisfy the scholarship’s criteria and intent.

Most of our scholarships cannot be combined with other scholarships awarded by the school. See each scholarship description below for information on whether it can be combined with other scholarships.

By state law, non-Texas residents — including international students — who receive a competitive scholarship of $1,000 or more from UT Dallas or the Jindal School may be eligible for Texas-resident tuition as long as the University has not exceeded our allocation of these tuition deductions. The UT System allows individual universities to grant a competitive scholarship Texas-resident tuition status to a maximum of 5 percent of its total student enrollment.

Applications from new students who are enrolling for the first time and who meet the scholarship criteria will be reviewed as they are received, and students will be notified after the Scholarship Committee has finalized decisions. All other students will be notified of scholarship decisions after the established deadline for that semester. Students are usually notified whether or not they are granted an award by email to their UT Dallas email account. Scholarship applicants are also notified of their status by email usually prior to the university’s payment deadline date for the new semester.

Scholarship Deadlines

  • Fall 2012 – July 13, 2012

  3. All continuing student applicants must submit one (1) recommendation (from a previous faculty, advisor, employer, coworker or other educational or professional acquaintance).
