By Judy Feld, MCC, Assoc. Director, ACTP Graduate Certificate Coaching Program

David Ahles

In memory of David Ahles, beloved member of Cohort 7B, his Certificate in Executive and Professional Coaching was presented to his wife, Lori Ahles, at a luncheon attended by Program staff.  We celebrate, with gratitude for his friendship and inspiration, the life of Coach David Ahles.

ICF Conference

We are looking forward to the 2011 International Coach Federation Annual Conference in Las Vegas, beginning on September 24th. We will be greeting old and new friends at a Monday evening reception at the Mandalay (room Lagoon KL), and we hope that our newsletter readers will stop at our exhibit booth (#515) to say hello and receive an invitation. Look for our faculty members in leadership positions and as speakers and panel members:

David Matthew Prior: designing and producing the Coaching Demos.
Francine Campone:
Chair of the ICF Research Committee; hosting a "dutch treat" coffee get-together for any coach interested in coaching-related research.
Lynn Meinke: 2011 Chair of the ICF Educational Steering Committee for the Conference (for the second year in a row)
Lisa Kramer: serving on the Educational Steering Committee for the 2011 conference (for the second year in a row).
Judy Feld: Sunday morning presenter in the The Science of Coaching track: "Train your brain and refuse to lose.”

New Credentials

We are proud of the Executive and Professional Coaching Program at UTD and proud of all of our graduates. Recent graduates from our eleventh cohort are already joining the ranks of ICF credentialed coaches. Our earlier cohorts also continue an impressive record of professional development.  We want to congratulate the following coaches who have received a new ICF credential or Master’s Degrees, and continue to be involved in the UTD community:

Dean Keith, ACC, Cohort 7B; August, 2011
Sheena Payne, ACC, Cohort 7A; August, 2011

M.S. degree in Management with a concentration in Organizational Behavior and Coaching:
Kristine Whetstine

Next Information Session for Spring Cohort and Master’s Program

The Executive and Professional Coaching Program is thriving at UTD and we continue to look toward the future.  The Master’s Degree Program is in its second year and is open for new student applications. Cohort 9A began classes on Monday, September 12th and we are now accepting applications for Cohort 9B, to begin in March, 2012.

You are invited to join an interactive group Information Session with an overview and Q&A on both programs, including options for each.  Our next information session is scheduled for Thursday, October 13th at 5:30 p.m. U.S. Central time. It will be conducted on a group teleconference line so you can call from anywhere in the world. If you are interested in attending, send an e-mail to with "Information Session" in the subject line. Please include your full name and location in your e-mail. We will add your name to the reservation list and send you the call details. You may also register at the Coaching website
