UT Dallas’ Executive Leadership Program

“LEADER” IS NOT A POSITION, IT IS AN ATTITUDE!

The L.E.A.P. Program™ (Leadership Effectiveness Accelerated Process™) is designed for experienced managers and executives who want to hone their leadership skills. This program provides the proven leadership tools, techniques, strategies and methods to transform you into a highly effective leader. The workshop environment enables interactive learning so learning happens by doing. Interacting with a peer group of leader-participants builds confidence and provides challenge and reinforcement.

The program starts with an in-depth assessment of individual core strengths. It then helps you design a custom plan for your personal development. Certified leadership coaches provide you guidance, encouragement and accountability throughout the process.
Five half-day sessions at two-month intervals include interactive, high- energy training and teaching. In addition, participants are responsible for assigned reading, case studies, videos, worksheets and other assignments between sessions in order to practice and apply what has just been learned and begin exploring the next topics. The L.E.A.P. Program’s primary assessment and development tool is the highly respected Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI). Important elements of the acclaimed Leadership Challenge workshop are integrated into the L.E.A.P. Program.

Workshop Outline

Offered for corporate groups of 12 or more participants, the program can be customized and the schedule modified to meet the group’s needs. In its standard delivery form, the program requires five half-day sessions meeting once every two months. Attendance is essential.

  • Session One: Understanding what works – and what doesn’t – when it comes to effective leadership
  • Session Two: Personal leadership assessment and development plans
  • Session Three: Communication styles, effective listening skills, situational leadership, the leader as coach
  • Session Four: Your personal core competencies, aligning values, decision-making, prioritization
  • Session Five: Vision-casting, creating loyalty and buy in, raising up a team of leaders, your long-range plan

Investment

The program includes, all materials, tools, books and videos. All instructor/speaker fees and coaching support are also included. For less than the cost of attending an executive workshop you are provided with everything you need to take a 10-month LEAP toward being your best as a leader.
