The Center for Intelligent Supply Networks (C4ISN) offers a comprehensive curriculum of two consecutive day modules, online modules and site visits allowing participants to earn a professional certificate in supply chain management in four months. C4ISN can also customize a curriculum designed for individual company needs.

Who Should Attend?

Students from all segments of the supply chain industry, including service, manufacturing, product development, procurement, distribution, warehousing, logistics, information technology and consulting and students who have many years of professional experience and little academic training in supply chain or vice versa.

Program Requirements and Modules

The program requires completion of four modules (8 days, eight hours per day on campus and 4 days equivalent on line), assignments and quizzes.
Tuition: Early Registration (30 days before program starts): $6,500 or Regular Registration: $7,200

The Center for Intelligent Supply Networks (C4iSN) offers comprehensive training in Lean Six Sigma. The curriculum combines the Lean and Six Sigma approaches to process improvement. The Lean and Six Sigma management philosophies were pioneered by Toyota and Motorola, respectively, and popularized by companies like General Electric. These philosophies have been proven to result in significant cost savings and process improvements.

Who Should Attend?

Those interested in learning and applying a systematic approach to quality improvement, cost reduction and process efficiency will benefit from these programs. No previous training is required for eligibility to the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program.

Green Belt

Training toward a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificate requires the completion of seven days of class work and a project. Students typically identify a project within the company where they are working. C4iSN also can assist the Green Belt candidate to find a project. Participants who do not complete the project in eight months from the start of the program will automatically receive a Yellow Belt certificate as long as they have met other requirements. Students can opt to enroll in the Yellow Belt program only.
Tuition: $3,600 for Yellow Belt or $5,200 for Green Belt {Yellow Belt ($3600) + Project ($1600)}.

Black Belt

Candidates who have successfully completed the Green Belt program are eligible to register for the Black Belt program. The Black Belt program requires completion of 10 days of training, class assignments and quizzes. In addition, they are expected to complete one Lean Six Sigma project. Participants who do not complete the project in 10 months from the start of the program will automatically receive a Brown Belt certificate as long as they have met other requirements. Students can opt to enroll for the Brown Belt program only.
Tuition: $6000 Brown Belt (10 class days) or $8500 for Black Belt {(Brown Belt ($6000) + Project ($2500)}

The C4ISN Online Sourcing Management program provides three enrollment options:

  • Professional certificate in sourcing management (24 e-learning modules)
  • Certificate in fundamentals of sourcing management (10 e-learning modules)

Professional Certificate in Sourcing Management

The primary objective of the Professional Certificate program is to give students a broad understanding of basic, advanced and international aspects of sourcing management.

Recommended Audience

Procurement specialists interested in attaining certified purchasing manager CPM() status.

Program Requirements and Modules

The program requires completion of about 96 hours of online training, assignments and quizzes and completion of basic, advanced and international sourcing. The program offers:

  • Three sourcing focus areas: strategy, planning and operations
  • Delivery in convenient phases

Professional Certificate Requirements

  • Phase 1: Basic (40 hours)
  • Phase 2: Advanced (44 hours)
  • Phase 3: International Sourcing (12 hours)

Fundamental of Sourcing Management Certificate

The primary objective of the Fundamentals of Supply Management program is to give students a well-rounded understanding of the basics of supply management.

  • Entry-level buyers and commodity managers
  • Anyone interested in pursuing a career in sourcing

Course Requirements

The certificate program requires the completion of 10 e-learning modules. Each course requires 4-5 hours, including case studies.

Note: Students completing the individual study program my take an additional five e-learning modules to earn this certificate.

Sourcing Management: Individual Study

The primary objective of the Fundamentals of Supply Management program is to give students a well-rounded understanding of the basics of sourcing management.

  • Entry-level buyers and commodity managers
