OWLIEs Nominations Now Open

Do you know a fellow Jindal School student who goes above and beyond in everything they do? Or, maybe you have a friend who will most likely be the CEO of a company in the future. What better way to honor them than to nominate them for the coveted OWLIE award!

The JSOM “OWLIE” award stands for:

  • Outstanding
  • Worthy
  • Leaders
  • Involved
  • Exceptionally
Davidson Auditorium
We had a full house at last year’s event in the Davidson Auditorium.

Nominations are now open! The annual awards event is a unique platform to recognize students, faculty, staff, mentors and alumni for their exceptional service on behalf of the Jindal School. Hosted by the Dean’s Council*, potential OWLIE recipients are nominated by students, faculty, program directors and JSOM student organization advisors.

Finalists are selected by the Dean’s Council, then a combination of JSOM faculty, staff, student organization representatives and the Dean’s Council vote to determine the winners.

Nine different OWLIE awards are available for nomination:

Jindal Student Master Mentor

Jindal Selfless Heart

Jindal Faculty Idol of the Year

JSOM Student of the Year

JSOM Outstanding Staff Member

JSOM Amazing Alum

JSOM Outstanding Leader: Student Organization

JSOM Student Organization of the Year

*While the OWLIEs are hosted by the Dean’s Council, council members are not considered as potential winners for any award except the Super OWL, which is given to one undergraduate and one graduate member of the Council.
