Professional MBA Online Overview

The UT Dallas Naveen Jindal School of Management offers several nationally ranked MBA Programs. For students who are unable to attend on-campus classes, the Professional MBA Program provides access to all the same core and most of the elective classes/concentration offerings in an online format.

The online Professional MBA program dispels time and place as obstacles to earning a degree. By extending the delivery of the UT Dallas School of Management’s existing MBA resources to students who can’t commit to regularly scheduled classes on campus, the online Professional MBA program is a viable alternative. This delivery method is ideal for students who may live outside the UT Dallas geographic area or travel extensively for their organizations. As well, many students may be relocated to other cities prior to finishing their UT Dallas degree so this option allows them to finish the program without forfeiting their accumulated credits.

The list of online core courses and elective options can be found on the Online Programs Courses page.

Admission requirements and tuition are basically the same as the traditional on-campus Professional MBA program at UT Dallas, with the exception that online courses have an additional $80 per credit hour distance learning fee. Online courses are offered during the three regular semesters, which start in January, May and August. Students are not organized into distinct classes (cohort groups), but select course loads consistent with their own part-time pace. There is no campus residency requirement; courses are completely online, and the program requires no campus visits (unless UT Dallas is chosen as a proctored exam site).

A online course demo is available through the School of Management (click on “Training, Organizations, and Research”, click “Log In” and enter “som-guest” as your user ID and “som-guest” as your password).
