The Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management (BS SCM) at the Jindal School of Management is designed for students seeking to focus their business education by developing a working expertise and knowledge in the different elements of the supply chain. Students will learn how these elements work together to create performance-driven operations. Our BS SCM program gives you the knowledge, skills and applied research experience you need to help your future employers maximize efficiency and profitability. The program will provide you with:

  • Solid understanding of supply chain management and effective practices.
  • Skills for finding the resource that will give your company the best return on investment.
  • The ability to plan and manage a firm’s production processes including logistics, selecting suppliers, moving materials and distributing finished products to customers.
  • Knowledge of innovative supply chain processes.
  • Analytical techniques for assuring quality and delivery performance.
  • Strategies for minimizing total costs of goods and services.

Completion of degree requirements will prepare students for graduate study or entry-level management analyst positions in consultancy, operations, logistics and distribution, manufacturing, purchasing, sourcing, warehousing and various other industrial sectors. As a successful graduate, you’ll be able to:

  • Analyze markets and financial performance for improving supply chain.
  • Design, manage and optimize critical components of supply chain systems, organization and operations.
  • Integrate engineering and manufacturing practices to improve financial and operational performance of organization.

The Fast-Track Program enables undergraduate students enrolled at UT Dallas to begin work on the MS SCM degree before graduation. Qualified seniors may take graduate courses that will both apply toward the Bachelor of Science degree and satisfy requirements for the MS SCM degree.

Even more significant, successful completion of the undergraduate Fast-Track Program while retaining the minimum GPA of 3.30 and completing OPRE 3360 (or its equivalent) and MATH 1325 calculus requirement provides the opportunity for application and entry into the applicable graduate program in the School of Management without submitting a GMAT or GRE exam score.

Admission to the Fast-Track Program requires that students:

  • Have completed at least 15 hours at UT Dallas
  • Are within 30 hours of graduation
  • Have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.30
  • Have completed all lower-level required courses
  • Have completed BA 3360 or its equivalent and the MATH 1325 calculus requirement

To remain in the Fast-Track Program, a student must maintain an overall undergraduate GPA of at least 3.30. For the Fast-Track courses to satisfy graduate-degree requirements, a student must achieve grades of B or better in graduate coursework. A grade of B- (minus) does not satisfy the graduate requirement.
